The U-Prox outdoor sensor is the U-Prox PIR Outdoor V2, a wireless, weatherproof passive infrared (PIR) motion detector designed for perimeter protection. It features pet immunity up to 20 kg (or 80 cm tall objects) and an advanced anti-masking system to prevent tampering. Key Features and Specifications Detection Technology: The sensor uses dual PIR sensors with advanced detection algorithms to identify real human movement while filtering out environmental noise like pets, sunlight, and weather. Detection Range & Angle: It has an adjustable detection range from 3 to 15 meters and a wide, 90° horizontal field of view. Weatherproof (IP55): The robust, hermetically sealed housing and included protective hood make it resistant to rain, dust, heat, and cold, suitable for operating temperatures from -25°C to +60°C. Anti-Masking: An extended anti-masking system detects attempts to block the sensor's lenses (partial or full), ensuring the device cannot be easily disabled by an intruder. Wireless Communication: It communicates with the U-Prox control panel using secure, two-way, 256-bit encrypted radio communication with a line-of-sight range of up to 4800 meters. Power & Battery Life: The device operates on two pre-installed CR123A lithium batteries, providing an expected battery life of up to 5 years. Configuration: Settings, including sensitivity adjustment and firmware updates (OTA), can be configured remotely using the U-Prox Installer mobile application. Installation: It is designed for easy installation with a mounting height of 0.9 to 1.10 meters and includes a mounting kit in the package.
